Do people typically wear messenger bags over the shoulder opposite of their dominant hand?
I am right handed and have all my life naturally worn messenger bags over my left shoulder (that is, when wearing them slung around the torso). I am curious as to whether it is typical to wear messenger bags over the shoulder opposite of the dominant hand, and if that is the case, I’m even more curious as to why.
It’s normal to have it hung over your neck, rather than just on your shoulder. This makes sure it doesn’t slip off.
Now, the only question is which side of the neck.. Normally, a right hander would want the bag handy with their dominant hand. so the strap would be on your left shoulder, and the bag would be across your neck, and would bacically be accessible with your right hand, do get stuff out when you need it.
